What began as a desire to find healthy milk for her children in the 1970’s turned into one of the American cheese world’s best known success stories. Once her herd was in place, Mary Keehn of Cypress Grove needed something to do with all of the surplus goat milk she had kicking around.
Starting in 1983, with a great deal of determination and no small amount of inspiration, Mary helped to pioneer the artisan cheese making movement in the United States. Cypress Grove cheeses have been internationally recognized for their quality and original format.
Premiere quality, innovative styles, and an enormous social conscience have made Cypress Grove a model for not only cheese makers, but for entrepreneurs everywhere.
