Fontina Val d’Aosta

A semi-firm cheese from the mountainous Val D’Aosta. This traditional cheese has a natural rind and a smooth paste spotted with eyes. The flavours range from mild and rich to powerful and robust as it ages. It is a good cheese for melting, particularly the younger varieties.
