Langres AOP
Originating in the Langres plateau in the Champagne-Ardenne, this washed-rind cow milk cheese is soft and covered in a rind of geotrichum yeast that has a distinctive orange tint. This cheese, granted AOP status in 1919, is often served with champagne, which can be poured into the hollow on top of the cheese. Pronounced aroma, creamy, mild and salty flavour, lactic notes with hint of spice.
